Hero Central: Salvation Army in need of angels

There are thousands of excited kids counting down the days until Santa arrives, but hundreds of them are listed on Angels Trees and there is only one week left to buy them a gift. The Salvation Army is worried about what the count down will be like for those children, so we're calling all heroes in Hero Central.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at a highly secure warehouse where Salvation Army volunteers are stuffing boxes with toys and clothing, but if you look closely most boxes are empty.

Major April Taylor says "We don't open this up to just anyone. We want the community to know we are careful about their resources and that those who are receiving truly are in need."
