Little Rock, Ark – Brandon D. Campbell, the creator and executive producer of Little Rock Fashion Week, is the guest speaker at the University of Iowa School of Journalism and Mass Communication in Iowa City, IA. He’s appearing at the UI April 19th through 23rd.

“I’m greatly honored to be returning to Iowa to share my experiences.” says Campbell. “The University of Iowa provided so many resources for me in the early stages of my career. My experiences there taught me a lot about business, and I discovered who I am and what my passions were. I consider it be a dream come true to provide insight and my resources to students at my alma mater”

Campbell, UI J-School graduate, is sharing his experiences in the fashion and entertainment industries, give advice to students and discuss entertainment and social media’s impact on hard news journalism. He’ll speak at several journalism classes, meetings at The Daily Iowan, UI National of Black Journalist and UI Society of Professional Journalists.

Campbell has spoken at different workshops and universities, including the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

About Brandon D. Campbell:  Born and raised in Little Rock, Campbell earned a BA in journalism, a minor in international studies and entrepreneur management certification from the UI. He’s written and produced television programs and digital media content for entertainment organizations such as E! Entertainment, Style Network and World Wrestling Entertainment. In 2009, Campbell returned to “The Natural State” to establish Little Rock Fashion Week, which is the fastest growing fashion week in the nation. Campbell has been spokesman, emcee and fashion show producer of Savers, Inc. His company has produced Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s Little Rock and Conway fashion bridal runway shows. This month, he was named to Arkansas Life magazine’s Style Setters.
