LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – A National Moment of Silence has been planned for August 14 at 7 p.m. EST in memory if Michael Brown, who recently died during an officer-involved shooting in Ferguson, Missouri.

In Little Rock, participants for the moment of silence will be gathered at the Arkansas State Capitol. A Facebook page dedicated to event says people will gather at 6 p.m., and the moment of silence will begin at 6:20 p.m.

The page also requests that participants bring candles and signs with names of the fallen or other messages about police violence or community strength in addition to a red cloth or ribbon as a sign of solidarity. Participants are reminded to remain respectful as it is a moment intended for healing and remembrance.
