(Pine Bluff, Arkansas) - February is National Teen Dating and Violence Prevention and Awareness Month and Black History. The Interested Citizens for Voter Registration, Inc. (ICVR) King Team and Pen or Pencil youth will discuss dating violence and abusive behavior along with African American History. Pine Bluff Police officer Michael Jenkins along with a representative from the Prosecuting Attorney's office will lead and facilitate the discussion. After the meeting refreshments will be served. The meeting will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014,  at 1 PM in the ICVR office located 2315 South Olive Street and is open to the public. The King Team program empowers youth to gain an appreciation for community service through teamwork. There is no cost associated with ICVR King Team membership however youth are expected to participate in community service projects and meetings to become eligible for travel during the summer. The ICVR King Team is open to youngster between the ages of 10 to 19 who commit to nonviolence, community service and staying drug free. Details 870-536-7274 or 413-6345. # # #
