Man arrested for Pine Bluff 'suspicious death'

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) - Officials have arrested a man and determined the cause of death in a case they were originally calling "suspicious."

According to Pine Bluff Assistant Chief of Police Ivan Whitfield, the Arkansas State Crime Lab determined that the cause of Antonio Jenkins' death on Sunday was blunt force trauma to the head.

Asst. Chief Whitfield said detectives determined that Kenneth Burton, 21, struck Jenkins in the head during an altercation on W. 4th St. Jenkins died several hours later. He said Burton was taken into custody without incident and is to be charged with second degree murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
