Food truck brings new options to Pine Bluff

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) -- The owners of a new food truck in Jefferson County are pushing for healthier eating within their community.

Owners of Kitchens on Wheels, Aaron and Berinda Eugene, are on a mission to give the city of Pine Bluff healthier alternatives to meal selections.

"Our trucks consists of two types of menus: Southern Flare and then a Bistro side that has chicken salads, chicken wraps and chicken sandwiches," Eugene explained.

Pine Bluff ranks as one of the poorest cities in America. Research has proven that there is a link between unequal access to healthy foods and poor food choice behaviors and obesity.

"You know we don't want to be the one known to have a plight that we can't address, we just believe you have to offer the right choices," Eugene added.

Which is why this business is using wheels to drive home a good meal and an even better message of healthy eating.
