Teen arrested for murder of 21-yr-old UAPB student

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) - A 19-year-old was taken into police custody on Wednesday for the 2015 murder of University of Arkansas in Pine Bluff student, Keith Wilbert. 

The 21-year-old was found shot to death in his home located at the 4300 block of Boone Street on September 23, 2015. At the time of the murder, Pine Bluff police believed that it was a home invasion, and that three people were involved in the robbery. 

Harold Magee, 18, of Pine Bluff was arrested on Wednesday, January 20. The Pine Bluff Police Department stated that the arrest was made after evidence that linked Magee to the murder was discovered. 

The UAPB Chancellor, Laurence B. Alexander released the following statement Wednesday afternoon:

We extend our gratitude to local law enforcement officials for their measured and thorough investigation that led to an arrest in the death of Keith Wilbert, Jr.  Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Wilbert family. We are trusting that justice will be served. UAPB remains committed to a social justice agenda that positively impacts the campus, the local community and beyond.
