Pine Bluff, Arkansas - The Interested Citizens for Voter Registration, Inc. (ICVR) Nonviolence Initiative will reward the Altheimer-Martin Elementary School with a pizza party on Monday, January 23, 2012, at 2:00 PM. Students ages 4 to 11 years committed to no bulling or fighting for three consecutive months October-December 2011 and according to school counselor Shirley Breedlove they succeeded. "During the Red Ribbon Anti Drug Week we challenged one hundred eighteen students at Altheimer-Martin  not to bully or fight October through December. Today, we are very proud of these students for meeting our challenge and happy to provide them a pizza party for their good behavior" -Cynthia T. Whitmore, ICVR Board Member. ICVR's Nonviolence Initative plans to target different schools to reward students for good behavior with a day of skating, popcorn parties, social mixers, and movie passes. The ICVR goal is to offer incentives for neat dress, good attitudes, behavior and academics says Rev. Jesse C. Turner, executive director. Details 870-536-7274.
