Crenshaw Springs in White Hall opening Saturday

Crenshaw Springs in White Hall opening Saturday

WHITE HALL, Ark. (KTHV) – The city of White Hall will open its new water park at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Mayor of White Hall Noel Foster told THV11 news that the park, Crenshaw Springs, has passed all inspections and employees will go through one more round of training and emergency drills Friday night just before they open the gates.

Foster said the park is named after a natural spring that still wells up beneath a pavilion on Dollarway Road near Anderson Avenue and Church Drive; it brought travelers to the area in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The city is hoping the new Crenshaw Springs will do the same.

The new park features a walk-in pool, fountains and pool areas for small children to play in, water slides, an aquatic rock climbing wall, and a concession stand.

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) - I spent the day visiting Pine Bluff, walking around and going to different visitor centers. Before I visited the area, I posted on Facebook that I was going to Pine Bluff (See original post: http://on.kthv.com/1jbwVrA). Based on some comments left by folks there, I half-expected to find a city in shambles, with decrepit buildings and sporting a mere shadow of a by-gone era. I was pleasantly surprised to find exactly the opposite.
