PINE BLUFF, Ark. - Golden Lion supporters can now view University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Television (UAPB-TV) anywhere in the world, thanks to online streaming.

“We are excited about being able to broadcast campus events to alumni and supporters of UAPB,” said Randy Kelley, UAPB-TV station manager. “This is a good recruitment tool for future students to get a feel for UAPBs culture.”

“Having our own television station has allowed to tell our own story, “said Dr. Lawrence A. Davis, Jr., UAPB’s chancellor. “[Streaming online] will allow us to exhibit the university on a worldwide platform.”

Founders celebration kicks of with 'Jeopardy!'

PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- The 138th Founders’ Celebration at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) will kick-off with a Branch Normal/AM&N/UAPB Jeopardy Game prior to Founders’ Weekend (April 13-17). The theme for this year’s celebration is, “Urgency in Education: Our Founders’ Perspective.”

The Jeopardy game will be held Thursday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the L. A. Davis, Sr. Student Union Lounge. This free, public event will feature trivia questions from each era of the University’s history. Alumni and students of UAPB will band together to exhibit their knowledge of the Flagship of the Delta. Interested participants can call (870) 575-8520 to register.

UAPB forges new foreign partnership

PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- Representatives from the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL) visited the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) to learn more about the institution as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Initiated by Dr. James Garner, Interim Dean of the School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences and Dr. Dennis Balogu, Professor of Agricultural sciences, IBBUL will work with UAPB and its Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Academy to nurture its programs, supply capacity development and implement new strategies.

“This is an excellent opportunity for our university to grow and develop more opportunities for our faculty and students,” said Dr. Lawrence A. Davis, Jr., UAPB’s Chancellor.
