PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Jamie Rachelle Robbins, Miss University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) 2011-2012 has entered EBONY's annual HBCU Campus Queens competition for a chance to appear in the September 2012 issue where ten campus queens will grace the pages of the magazine. The daughter of Patricia Weatherly and Tony Thompson, Jamie was very active in high school and graduated in 2008 as salutatorian of her class at Dollarway High School.  As a senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English at UAPB, Jamie has had the opportunity to be an active member of various campus activities and organizations including the Honor Students Association; Alpha Rho Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated; Zeta Nu Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society, and the Student Government Association.

Jamie enjoys writing, singing, cheerleading, playing softball, working in her church, and spending time with family. After graduation, her plans include but are not limited to pursuing a master’s degree in Mass Communication.  Her philosophy on life is:  “Never underestimate the power of prayer!”
