LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Low temperature records have been tied or broken in several Arkansas cities.
 
According to the National Weather Service, low temperature marks were set in El Dorado, Hot Springs, Pine Bluff and Texarkana early Wednesday. The temperature bottomed out at 47 degrees in El Dorado, tying a 1988 record, and a 51-degree reading in Pine Bluff tied a 1988 record.
 
Forecasters say the mercury plunged to 49 degrees in Hot Springs and Texarkana, breaking 1988 records of 50 degrees and 51 degrees, respectively.
 
On Tuesday, a 43-degree low tied a 1974 record in Fayetteville and a 1988 record of 56 degrees was broken when the temperature hit 55 degrees in North Little Rock.
 
In El Dorado, the temperature hit 51 degrees, three degrees cooler than on Sept. 6, 1907.
